About the Asahina's Skipper
Asahina's Skipper is a small skipper butterfly living in the mountains of Ishigaki and Iriomote in the Yaeyama Islands. It has yellowish-brown wings, and its larvae feed on grasses. Because its range is extremely limited, its habitats in Ishigaki City and Taketomi Town are designated a Natural Monument of Okinawa Prefecture.
