Deleting your account

In the Ikimono Kokuho app (iPhone / Android), open My page and choose Delete account. Your account and data are deleted immediately.

If you only use the website, send a request from the contact form using the email address you registered. We delete the account within 30 days after confirming it is yours.

App Store / Google Play subscriptions are not stopped by deleting your account; cancel them first in the store's subscription settings. Web (Stripe) subscriptions are cancelled when the account is deleted.

Data that is deleted

Your account (email address, display name, profile picture), Wildlife Journal entries, notes and photos, photos and comments you posted, reports you made, and your Premium status. Deleted immediately from the app, or within 30 days of a request.

Data we keep

Payment records (invoices and receipts) are kept for 7 years by Stripe and by us, as required by tax law. In-app purchase history is kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own policies.

Contact messages are kept for up to 3 years as support records. Server logs expire after 30 days. Analytics data (Google Analytics) is not linked to your account and expires after Google Analytics' retention period (up to 14 months).

Deleting data without deleting your account

You can delete each photo or comment you posted at any time. Journal entries can be removed from the journal section of an animal's page, which also deletes their notes and photos.

To delete other data, contact us through the contact form. We delete it within 30 days.
